Icamcyl in the media / 12-09-2019The MINEA project is a COST action financed by the European Union and its main objective is to deepen knowledge of secondary raw materials, materials derived from the processing of raw materials from the geosphere or obtained in the recovery and recycling of mining waste.
ICAMCyL, within MINEA, works to study the availability of critical raw material stocks in tailings from all over Europe in synchrony with the European Union Research Centre in charge of updating international databases on critical raw materials.
The general director of the ICAMCyL Foundation and the ISMC Cluster, Santiago Cuesta López, will present the European interregional strategy that the Foundation, in synergy with the Junta de Castilla y León, the Institute of Business Competitiveness (ICE), and representatives of more than 30 regions, has been weaving throughout 2019 to ensure a new European momentum of sustainable mining that pays attention to the wealth of territories in all its dimension (social, watershed recovery and development of new strategic, sustainable and circular mining).
