León Hosts International RISE Project Meeting to Boost Industrial Resilience in Europe
Our day by day / 08-04-2025
Today marks the start of the fourth follow-up meeting of the European project RISE (Resilience and Innovation for Sustainable European Industry), taking place in León. The event brings together experts, researchers, and industry representatives to address key strategies for resilience and adaptation in the European industrial sector.
The meeting, held from April 7 to 9 at the Hotel Real Colegiata de San Isidoro, aims to align the project’s progress and strengthen collaboration among partners. On the first day, participants will review the status of the project's various work streams, with presentations on the creation of European ecosystems, the development of industrial value chains, and the promotion of strategic investments.
The second day will include a visit to Sabero, where attendees will learn about successful cases of industrial transformation and adaptation to the green transition. The program includes visits to TECOI, a benchmark in technological innovation, and the Museum of Iron and Mining of Castile and León, which showcases the historical evolution of the region’s industry. The day will conclude with a policy workshop to discuss the preliminary lessons from the European I3 programme (Interregional Innovation Investments).
The event will conclude on April 9 with a recap session and planning of the project’s next steps, including communication strategies and dissemination of results.
In recent months, the RISE project has made significant progress in promoting innovation and interregional collaboration in Europe:

High-level pitching events in Portugal, Bulgaria, and Belgium.
Support for over 30 investment projects to accelerate innovation.
The consortium will continue its work until October, the scheduled end of the project.
